At UNI events, Clayberg coordinates the operation of music, video board and in-game promotions. He oversees the promotional and design aspects of UNI's official athletic website, unipanthers.com. In addition, he coordinates a marketing student internship program and serves as the administrator for the UNI spirit squads.

Clayberg was hired as UNI's assistant director of marketing and development in 2003 after serving as broadcast services coordinator for athletics at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2002-03. He worked with the VCU athletics department while completing his master's degree in sports leadership in 2002. He also interned in the athletics facilities office at the University of Virginia in 2001.
