Giving Levels and Benefits
In return for your gift to the Panther Scholarship Club, you will receive various benefits depending on what membership level you are at annually. Click on the Benefit Chart link below for a complete listing. Please contact the PSC office with any questions.
Panther Scholarship Club can accept:
Cash: Most common and needed gift to the Panther Scholarship Club.
Contributions can be made in a lump sum or installments. See membership
application for payment methods.
Matching Gifts: Many companies match contributions made by their employees. To have a greater impact on the Panther Athletics, contact your Human Resources department before mailing your contribution to see if your company offers a matching program. Your membership level will reflect the matching gift portion as long as your company allows, usually up to 80% of your gift.
Gifts-in-Kind: Gifts of supplies or services are sometimes accepted as contributions to the Panther Scholarship Club. In these cases, the donor provides a product or service that would have otherwise been purchased within a program's operating budget. A cash gift of $150 must accompany all gift-in-kind in order to be a member of the Panther Scholarship Club.
Appreciated Securities: If you have marketable securities that have grown substantially in value, the tax laws make it possible for you make a significant gift at a remarkably low after-tax cost. If appreciated securities are given to the UNI Foundation for Athletics, there is no tax on your gain, even though your "profit" is counted as part of your charitable gift. One of our accounting staff or PSC staff can provide complete details on the benefits and transfer of gifts of securities.

Tax Deductibility: While gifts to the PSC are tax-deductible, the deductibility of your contribution must be reduced by the amount of value you receive in return, in accordance with the Internal Revenue Code.
