Panther Point: Should retain a starting position...Moved from outside to inside linebacker in the 3-4 formation...Named preseason honorable mention all-Gateway by 1AA.org.

2004: Saw action in all 11 games, starting 10...Did not start versus Youngstown State...Tallied 25 solos and 31 assisted tackles (coaches' film)...Five tackles for a loss of 16 yards and two sacks...Also recorded two fumble recoveries...Team's seventh-leading tackler...Was tied for fifth in the Gateway for fumbles recovered...Had a season-high 14 tackles at Northern Arizona, including six solos.

2003: Played in all 13 games, starting six due to other players' injuries...Started against Illinois State, Southwest Missouri State, Western Illinois, Youngstown State, Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois and ceded the starting role back to Casey Tierney in the playoff games upon his return from concussions...Team's eighth-leading tackler, recording 56 tackles, including 34 unassisted and 22 assisted...Credited with three quarterback pressures, four tackles for loss, one fumble recovery and one pass deflection...Had a season-high 13 tackles at Southwest Missouri State.

2002: Played in seven games, primarily on special teams...Made two tackles, including one solo...Also was spotted as a fullback at one time.

2001: Red-shirted.

High School: Sophomore year named All-City in soccer and lettered in football...Junior year, all-state soccer, second team all-district in football, All-City in football...As a senior, had 147 tackles and rushed for 515 yards on 70 carries, scoring eight TDs...Also played inside linebacker...Honor Roll, member of the Campus Ministry...Football team was 20-3 his last two years, advancing to the state quarterfinals his junior year and semifinals his senior year...Soccer team was state champion in 1998 and a state qualifier in 1999...Also recruited by Iowa and Iowa State...Coached by Jim Duggan...Chose UNI because of the town and people.

Personal: Son of Richard and Nancy Heideman...Majoring in Criminology...Two sisters, Jenni and Megan, played soccer at Central Missouri State.
