Individual Tournament Results-Day 2

The University of Northern Iowa men's golf slipped down to ninth place after the second day of competition at the Ron Moore Invitational, hosted by the University of Denver at the Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Ariz.

 

The University of San Diego continues to lead the ranks in first place with a score of 555. Kansas State University follows close behind in second, firing a 558. UNI dropped from fourth place after the opening day to ninth place with a score of 574.

 

Senior Jordan Weber (Bernard, Iowa/Cascade) led the Panthers but dropped one spot after opening day and currently stands tied for 10th place after firing a two-under par 70 in the second day of competition. He holds on overall score of 139.

 

Andy White (Keosauqua, Iowa/Van Buren) moved up the leader board to a tied 15th place with an overall score of 140. The senior carded a 70 over the course of 18-holes on the second day.

 

Sophomore Kyle Bermel (Keota, Iowa/Keota) stands tied for 44th place, registering a 75 in the second round and an overall score of 146. Junior Eric Sipple (Waverly, Iowa/Waverly-Shell Rock) is tied for 59th place with a score of 149 after carding a 75 in the second round of play. Sophomore Troy Hoffman (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Cedar Falls) is tied for 71st place, recording a 153. Hoffman shot a second round 77 on the day.

 

Junior Blake Hibben (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Northern University) is currently competing in the individual tournament at the Ron Moore Invitational. After the second day of competition Hibben stands tied for fourth place with an overall score of 143. The junior shot a first round low of 70 and followed up with a one-over par 73 in the second round.

 

The tournament concludes Sunday with the final 18 holes beginning with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
