2006-07: Became UNI's first-ever wrestling Academic All-American, when he was named to the ESPN The Magazine's Academic All-America Men's At-Large third team ... selected to the NWCA Division I All-Academic team for the third straight year ... named the Western Wrestling Conference Wrestler of the Year ... finished his Panther career as a four-time national qualifier ... ranks No. 6 on the Panthers' all-time win list with 124 career victories ... posted a mark of 36-8 this season ... was also a two-time West Regional champion at 165 pounds ... notched 11 wins this season over national qualifiers ... owned two victories over Johnny Galloway (Northern Illinois) ... tallied wins over Michael Cannon (American), Max Dean (Indiana), Dustin Noack (UC Davis), Michael Patrovich (Hofstra), Nick Pullano (Old Dominion), Ryan Meyer (South Dakota State), Shawn Kitchner (Brown) and Jason Kiessling (Maryland) ... pushed No. 1-ranked Johny Hendricks (Oklahoma State) to the limit in each match this season ... Hendricks scored a 7-5 win over Baima at the National Duals and then hung on for a 2-1 win over Baima in another dual meeting on Jan. 27 ... his other four losses came against No. 4-ranked Mark Perry (Iowa), four times to No. 3-ranked Travis Paulson (Iowa State) and All-American Mike Miller (Central Michigan) ... won tournament titles at the Kaufman-Brand Open and the UNI Open ... placed second at the Harold Nichols Open and earned third-place honors at Midlands ... led the Panthers with 13 dual wins in 2006-07, and finished his dual career at UNI with a mark of 43-18 ... shared team MVP honors with Moza Fay ... earned the Lyle E. Schwarzenbach Award for academics.

2005-06: Put together one of the finest seasons ever by a Panthers grappler ... was named the Outstanding Wrestler at both the Midlands and the NCAA West Regional ... capped his year with a mark of 34-5 and had his streak of 14 consecutive wins snapped in the second round of the NCAA Championships ... at one stretch in the season, Baima won 26 of 27 matches ... included in Baima's 34 wins are eight major decisions, five technical falls and four pins ... entered the NCAA Championships as the No. 4 seed and he scored a 4-2 win over Stanford's Ray Blake in the first round ... but a pair of injuries ended up forcing him to default to a pair of opponents to end his season ... his single-season winning percentage (.872) ranks as the 10th-best in school history ... his 17 dual wins tie him for the 6th-best single-season mark in school history with Rich Powers (1990-91) ... accounted for a team-high 70 dual points this season ... a three-time national qualifier after taking the West Regional title at 165 pounds ... captured three awards at the team's annual banquet including: Most Courageous Award, Lyle E. Schwarzenbach Award and Most Valuable Wrestler Award.

2004-05: Selected to the NWCA Division I All-Academic team ... Advanced to Nationals at 165 pounds by claiming third at the West Regional and getting a wild card bid ... Went 2-2 at Nationals, falling to the no. 8 seed in the first round ... Defeated Craig Dziewiakowski of Navy, 6-4, and then pinned Cornell's Joey Hooker in 3:53 ... Knocked out of competition by Justin Nestor of Pittsburg ... Was 7-5 in duals, missing the final three season duals after breaking a bone in his hand ... Went undefeated in major decisions (6-0) and tech falls (1-0) ... Was 6-2 in pins; first three matches of the season were pins at the Harold Nichols Open where he claimed the 165-pound title ... Quickest pin in 1:46 at Midlands against Matt McInnis of Lassen College ... Finished the season 28-14 overall ... Was honored with the Lyle E. Schwarzenbach Award.

2003-04: Advanced to nationals earning a second-place finish at West Regionals...Lost to last season's 149-pound West Regional champion...Won Fort Dodge Open and UNI Open...Pinned his first collegiate opponent, Jeremy Roe of South Dakota State, in 3:40...Had a seven-match winning streak...Ended the season with a record of 26-15 on the year...Was awarded the McCready/Steffensmeier Award for the 2003-04 season.

2002-03: Redshirted.

High School: While at Glenbard West, was a four-time all-stater and all-American ...Finished his high school career with an overall record of 173-12 ...Named Outstanding Wrestler four times while also being named Athlete of the Year once...A freestyle all-American.
