UALR Team Results Day 1

The University of Northern Iowa women's golf team headed south Monday for the University of Arkansas Little Rock Classic at the par-72 Diamante Golf Course in Hot Springs Valley, Ark.

 

After the first round of play the Panthers stand tied for 18th place with an overall score of 643. The University of Tulsa and Florida International opened a first-day lead with a score of 605. Oral Robert's Christy Carter leads the field with a score of 141.

 

The Panthers were paced by sophomore Molly Schemm (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Fort Atkinson) with a score of 161 after firing a low 79 in the first round.

 

Sophomore Ann Arnason (Grand Forks, N.D./Red River) and junior Heather Frye (Fort Dodge, Iowa/Fort Dodge) finished tied for 66th posting scores of 162. Arnason and Frye recorded identical first and second round scores of 85 and 77.

 

Redshirt freshman Sabrina Danielson (Pleasant Hill, Iowa/Southeast Polk) is tied for 74th with a 163 and a low round of 79. Junior Kim Weber (Bernard, Iowa/Cascade) followed close behind tying for 81st place with a 165. Weber posted a low round 79 in the second.

 

The Panthers wrap up the UALR Classic Tuesday.
